ComfyUI: API media in a node graph

Generate images, edit with references and create videos inside ComfyUI, then pass the returned image, URL or video file to another node. The repository includes starter workflows and free creative/image utilities.

Follow the published GitHub release or source installation instructions. Check the current Registry version status before installing through it; GitHub release availability and Registry approval are separate.

VS Code: create and save project assets

Install Apixly Media from the Visual Studio Marketplace under publisher apixly. Generate images, refine reference images, create video and save the returned assets into your project.

Connect your own Apixly account and select an owned Key, or use the documented manual API-key option. The extension reads the models available to that Key; selecting a model does not submit a generation.

Dify Media: submit once, query and return files

Use Apixly Media in a Dify workflow for image generation, reference editing, video creation and task/file retrieval. Follow the repository installation and example DSL instructions for the matching plugin versions.

Use a manual secret API key or the documented account authorization flow. Choose the Key on the Apixly authorization page; Dify selects saved connections. To bind a different Key, authorize again, choose it in Apixly, then select the corresponding saved connection in Dify.

Dify Creative Controls: a free first step

Install Creative Controls separately to preview viewpoint, lighting and camera/lens instructions inside Dify. It needs no Apixly account or API key and makes no model request. Your Dify operator may have separate hosting/runtime costs.

Start with Viewpoint, Lighting and Camera & Lens, then connect their settings to Compose prompt. Groups default off. Inspect the final prompt and its success flag before connecting the separate paid media step. Creative Controls alone does not generate images or videos.

Keys, model access and API costs

Plugin installation and free creative utilities do not incur Apixly inference charges. Explicit image/edit/video submissions use your Apixly balance. The API cost depends on the exact model, image size or resolution, video duration and the selected Key’s tariff group; use the current catalog rather than a fixed price range.

Model options follow that Key’s permissions. Catalog visibility does not mean every model or parameter combination has been individually tested. Keep credentials in the host’s credential settings, not in prompts or shared workflows.

Complete one task and save the result

Choose an exact available model ID and compatible inputs, check its current price, then submit deliberately. Query the returned task ID until a terminal result and save the delivered file promptly; temporary result links can expire.

If a submission outcome is unknown, inspect task history before submitting again. A read-only query or download recovery does not require a new generation. These plugins expose their documented media functions; the platform’s separate chat APIs do not turn them into GPT or Claude chat clients.
